The Action Man Silver Speeder Driver action figure was released in 1998 by Hasbro in window box packaging. The box insert uses a plastic clip to hold the figure in place and this clip system is not used in any other Action Man inserts. The Silver Speeder Driver figure also seems to age badly, with the flexible arms and legs of the figure losing their colour over time and turning a pale yellow colour. The head seems to be unaffected. The Action Man Silver Speeder Driver has a unique body featuring a moulded on t-shirt with an “AM” logo on it and an earpiece / microphone moulded to the side of his head. Surely it would have made more sense to use a standard figure and equip it with a detachable ear piece and removable t-shirt.
The Silver Speeder Driver obviously complements the Silver Speeder vehicle which is featured on the figure’s box artwork.
